This site was a lot of fun to build. I really like the creative freedom to pick our own topic, so I chose one of my current fixations, Formula One. I used the Inspiro theme on Word Press which gave me a lot of inspiration. I really wanted a image focused website, to make it more captivating. I used categories to organize my two different types of posts: Race Recaps and then 'Silly Season' updates. Using categories made it easy to sort posts and have direct pages that only featured that one kind of post. One thing I had to ensure was turning on a category filter for the recent posts block on the hope page to make sure it only displayed updated race recaps.
The commerce site was something I quickly had to adapt to, but I also thought it was really fun. The hardest part was deciding how to show creativity. I used the Qoe theme and WooCommerce plug in. I found out how important categories and parent categories are because it offers a way to sort the products. I also had to download a plug in to create the contact us form but it made it super easy.
